Population

Bangladesh is the the 7th most densly populated country in the world. 145 million people live on this fertile land. This makes the Bangladeshi population slightly larger than that of Russia's. Dhaka, the capital city, is home to a whopping 15 million people. So brace yourself when you visit Dhaka.

Since 60% of our population is under the age of 25, people are one of our greatest assets.
We are fairly homogenous ethnically with 98% of the population being Bengalis and 2% being Bihari immigrants and indigenous tribal people.
